Monika Lutz redefined the gap year to include professional, academic and personal pursuits in addition to travel. She is passionate about sharing her internship and travel experience with students and encouraging them to pursue their unique ambitions before following the beaten path. Monika is currently working towards an undergraduate degree in government with a double minor in Mandarin Chinese and general management from Harvard University Extension School where she is the first female vice president of The Harvard Extension Student Association (HESA) and an elected board member for the prestigious Harvard Cooperative Society.
Monika attended high school in Boulder, Colorado where she was the Head Girl (student body co-president), a varsity lacrosse player, a National Honor Society club executive and earned her International Baccalaureate Degree with a perfect score in economics. Monika has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Time, Fox News and Glamour. Her own writing has been published in USA Today, The Colorado Daily, Pink Pangea and many more.
